Gifts for Seven Year Old Girls 2015

Seven year old girls are honing theirs reading skills, playing with friends and participating in sports. Of course all seven year old girls are different and if you know their interests it is easier to pick out a gift they would like; however, sometimes you may be searching for a child you may not know about their likes.  The list below should help you find some items that 7 year old girls will love.

Shopkins
For those who do not know, Shopkins are little collectible toys made by Moose toys.  They are incredibly small grocery and house hold items with faces to collect.  Currently Shopkins have produced three seasons to collection.  The dark blue shopping bags represent season one, the purple shopping bags represent season two and the the aqua shopping bags represent season three.  Season four will be showing up with petkins this December.

There are Shoppie dolls, playsets and blind bags that accompanying this brand.  One of the new products that is sure to be a big hit this season is Shopkins Kinstruction.  It's a collection of Shopkins toys and scenes that you can build.

Orbeez
Orbeez are tiny dots that grow in water to create bigger sized dots that are slightly  slimy.  My niece likes to crush these and run her finger through them.  I believe there is a playset that will allow you to crush them and decorate items with the crushed orbeez.

Dolls: Monster High and Ever After High
7 year olds who like dolls will most be into brands like Ever After High and Monster High.  Both are made by Mattel.  Monster High focuses on the teenage offspring of monster and Ever After High dolls represent the children of popular fairytale characters.

One of my favorite dolls out this December is from Monster High.  It is a serpent doll with two heads It is really cool.  I wish they had made this when I was younger.  It glows in the dark and has amazing detail. Another popular products that girls this age do love is American Girl.  These dolls retail for about $100.

Pie Face
This a popular board game where you get whip cream in your face if you trigger the launching hand on your turn.

Dealing with a Limited Gift Budget

One of the hardest things to deal with it on Christmas is being able to purchase gifts on a limited or non-existent budget; especially, if you have people to shop for with pricey wish lists.  You may not be able to purchase that new game system this year but you can still give them a gift they will enjoy.  Think thoughtful small gifts or get creative a make something from the heart.

My niece has tons of expensive items on her list but there are a lot of little things she wants.  A simple blind box or even a homemade one will leave her tickled pink.  Grab some cute boxes find some figures at the local dollar store and your done.

Another great idea for kids are small Lego kits.  My niece actually prefers these to the bigger sets. In addition, you could take a box and fill it with some of their favorite candy or you could bake them a box of the chocolate chip cookies they love.

As for the adults on your list - most are happy with a simple card or even a five dollar gift card to get a cup of coffee,  During the season people get a lot of stuff they do not want or need.  It is best to focus on thoughtful gifts they could use.

Calming Christmas Season Maddness

Enjoy a calm Christmas Season
Christmas boasts magic and merriment; but beneath the magic of the season can be a huge ball of anxiety and stress.  From hosting gatherings to financial woes these days it is easy to feel out of control during the holiday season.

To regain control of this holiday you need to get organized and draft some manageable to do lists.  Start with the easiest items to organize.  If you get a grip on how your celebrating the holidays, at your home or someone else home, it will help to inform your Christmas budget.  Will you need to include travel expenses as part of your Christmas plans? If so that could limit how much you may want to spend on gifts.

To do lists sometimes get a bad rap but they are extremely helpful on getting a handle on several tasks you need to complete. Start with a master list of everything that needs to be done.  Then take each section of your to list and break it down into smaller lists.  For example, prepare Christmas dinner can be broken down into a few sections:  A menu of what is to be served for Christmas dinner, a breakdown of the budget for dinner, and a grocery list. Breaking lists down into more manageable parts make it easier to accomplish your tasks and to feel in control of the holiday season rather than the holiday season is in control of you.
