Calming Christmas Season Maddness

Enjoy a calm Christmas Season
Christmas boasts magic and merriment; but beneath the magic of the season can be a huge ball of anxiety and stress.  From hosting gatherings to financial woes these days it is easy to feel out of control during the holiday season.

To regain control of this holiday you need to get organized and draft some manageable to do lists.  Start with the easiest items to organize.  If you get a grip on how your celebrating the holidays, at your home or someone else home, it will help to inform your Christmas budget.  Will you need to include travel expenses as part of your Christmas plans? If so that could limit how much you may want to spend on gifts.

To do lists sometimes get a bad rap but they are extremely helpful on getting a handle on several tasks you need to complete. Start with a master list of everything that needs to be done.  Then take each section of your to list and break it down into smaller lists.  For example, prepare Christmas dinner can be broken down into a few sections:  A menu of what is to be served for Christmas dinner, a breakdown of the budget for dinner, and a grocery list. Breaking lists down into more manageable parts make it easier to accomplish your tasks and to feel in control of the holiday season rather than the holiday season is in control of you.
